Day 1 : San Jose
Arrival to Costa Rica, a representative from our company will meet you at the airport and provide private transfer to the Hotel. Lodging at San Jose
Day 2 :San Jose to Arenal
Breakfast at the hotel. Shuttle land transfer to Arenal on the morning. Lodging at Arenal
Day 3: Arenal Volcano
Breakfast at the hotel . This afternoon The Arenal Volcano tour starts with a drive to the active Western side of the volcano. Once there you will embark on a hike on the Toucans Trail which traverses the rainforest and crosses over a large lava flow from 1992. It is possible to observe a great variety of plants, wildlife and magnificent lava rock formations. Once on top of the lava flow you will have a beautiful view of Lake Arenal. The hike ends at a viewing area where, weather permitting, you will be able to see red hot lava rolling down the side of the volcano (3 pm tour only). During the tour, our experienced guides will provide interesting and educational information regarding the history of the majestic mountain and the Arenal Volcano National Park. Day 4: Arenal to Monteverde National Park
Breakfast at the hotel. The fastest and best way to Monteverde by far. A bus will pick you up at your hotel and take you to Lake Arenal where a covered boat will be waiting to take you across the lake to Rio Chiquito. A 1 ½ hour scenic bus ride will take you from here to Monteverde, culminating this transfer of approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes. Lodging at Monteverde
Day 5: Natural History Walks at Monteverde Selvatura
Breakfast at the hotel. Natural History Walk which provides our visitors with a broader and more thorough experience of the marvels of the cloud forest, they are conducted by naturalist guides specialized in the area of Monteverde and Selvatura Park, which ensures that each walk will have a biological, ornithological and cultural approach of Monteverde and the cloud forest. Although the treetop walkways may be completed independently, the Natural History Walks are highly recommended on the fact that our clients conclude the tour very satisfied with the information received and above all with the personalized attention they receive from the guides during these walks. Day 6: Monteverde to Manuel Antonio
Breakfast at the hotel. Regular land transfer on the morning to Manuel Antonio. Lodging at Manuel Antonio.
Day 7: Manuel Antonio Natioanal Park
Breakfast at the hotel. Transportation will pick you up at your hotel from where you will start your ride to Manuel Antonio National Park. This national park is one of the most famous in our country due to its wide variety of flora and fauna specimens. The park itself boasts 3 different trails that vary in grade from flat to very steep. On this Manuel Antonio tour you will be accompanied by a nature guide who is knowledgeable about everything you will see. The trail you will take is flat and picturesque and loops through the park making your course approximately 2 miles long. Throughout the hike your guide will stop and explain the different nature specimens that can be observed, you can take photographs or just admire the view. One of the highlights of this Manuel Antonio tour is that the park is home to 3 of the 4 existing monkey species in Costa Rica. Half way through the hike you will make leisure stop at the third beach located within the national park. You will have approximately 20 minutes to rest on the beach or play among the waves if you so choose. Throughout the hike you will be able to observe sloths, birds and reptiles as well as admire orchids, butterflies and tropical trees. The guides that accompany you on this Manuel Antonio Trip are equipped with Pentax and Suvaroski telescopes that you can use to observe wildlife and take pictures with a different perspective.
