Day 1: Montevideo
Upon arrival our representative will meet and escort you to the hotel. Balance of day at leisure.
Day 2: Montevideo
Breakfast. Today you will take the city tour which includes a visit to the “old” city: Constitution Square, with its Cathedral Hall. Pass by the Solis Theatre, Independence Square where the Artiga’s Monument and its Mausoleum stands. (Uruguay’s National Hero). Continue to the main commercial street, the “18 de Julio” to the Congress Building. Next on the “Prado” with its famous Rose Garden and the “La Diligencia” (Stage Coach). Continue to Montevideo Hill for a sight of Montevideo Bay and to se the Old Colonial Fortress. Move then to the Batlle and Ordonez Park, passing by the Obelisk, and see “La Carreta” (Covered Wagon). You will also see the residential are of Carrasco and the city’s chain of beaches. (B)
Day 3: Punta del Este
Breakfast. Today you will embark in a very pleasant full day trip to experience one of the four most important resorts in the world . Your visit to Punta del Este takes you to the world-renowned site of film festivals and international conferences. The most important and famous seaside resort of South America and playground of the regional jet set, is located 85 miles east of Montevideo, on a peninsula at the mouth of Rio del Plata. Punta del Este resembles a hand reaching into the ocean, where visitors are amazed to see the sun rise and set from the same waters. Punta del Este is famous, not only because of its natural resources, but also for its high-profile visitors. Many international contests take place in Punta, including car races, rugby, tennis and golf tournaments. You will have the chance to get acquainted with this fabulous place while visiting several up-scale residential and natural areas, such as Pinares, Playa Mansa, Playa Brava, Portezuelo, Beverly Hills, Punta Ballena and San Rafael Casino Hotel-a Tudor-style seat of international meetings.(B)
Day 4: Colonia del Sacramento
Breakfast. Today you will take a full day cultural and history tour to Colonia del Sacramento. This old XVII century Portuguese City was declared Historical Patrimony of Humanity by UNESCO, due to its very well conserved architectonic riches. Unforgettable full day tour along its stone paved streets, old buildings and museums (Spanish and O Portuguese). We will also visit the downtown, the Port area, Fernando Beach and the Forest Reserve.Then an along the soft line to the "Real de San Carlos" with its bull arena, Basque-Ball court, horse racetrack and old dock. Day 5 : Montevideo - USA
Breakfast. Our representative will pick you up at your hotel and transfer you to the airport at the indicated time for your flight back home.(B) |

The tour to Machu Pichu requires traveling from sea level to an altitude of 11,200 feet, which may cause altitude sickness for some guests. Touring the ruins of Machu Pichu requires climbing many stairs and negotiating uneven and rugged terrain in rarefied air. Guests with a heart condition and/or known respiratory difficulties should consult their physician prior to booking this tour. There are two paths at the ruins that guests may choose from; both are fully guided. One requires moderate walking and the other requires considerable walking.
